Monarch Adult (FIRST sighted)

Date: 05/10/2006

Number: 1

One spotter reports a dull male and another multiple adults passing through her yard with eggs on small milkweed.

My spotters are my daughters who have been watching, rearing, and tagging monarchs with me for nearly 20 years! One registered her own Monarch Station and gave one to her sister for Christmas. They currently supply me with eggs and milkweed since I moved to a smaller home and yard. They saw Monarchs several miles apart in their own yards. They grew up with 100s of Monarchs chomping on milkweed around the house.

It will be wonderful to put catterpillars back into classrooms we visited last fall to release tagged Monarchs.
