Unfortunately, after much stewing and consternation, my students have concluded that the tulips have been eaten or harvested for an arrangement. This is the first time anything but a successful bloom has occurred at Crooked Creek. It has been great to view all the other tulips bloom, in succession, further and further north, with spring's arrival. In fact, the previous JN tulip gardens, in the same area of our campus, had bloomed early, giving us a tease.

Were sorry to have only negative news about the bloom from this year's effort.
