All Other Signs of Spring

On May 17,2006 I had Cedar Waxwings in my lawn eating the berries from my holly tree. The tree was full of berries and they worked in large numbers all day long eating them. I have seen pictures of this bird and knew what they looked like but I got my bird books out to be certain. They were most beautiful. This was a choice experience and others in my family came to experience this event. Today there are a few berries on the tree down around the bottom and the ground has many berries on the ground around it and even they are scattered through my yard. My tree is big and it was covered with berries. They did eat the berries even though they left many. I have not observed them today. There must have been between 30 and 40 birds. What a choice experience!
