Robin (OTHER Observations)

Date: 05/19/2006

Number: 1

Friday evening I was mowing my lawn when I noticed a robin in the pine tree next to our house. It chirped at me and flew off to my fence and chirped at me again. It clearly wanted me to follow it, so I did. It soon became apparent to me that it was trying to distract and lure me away from the pine tree. Soon it's partner came swooping in, and they both started in on me. I stole a quick peek at the pine tree and saw their nest with three newborn chicks. This nest is visible through our living room window and the chick's eyes are still closed.
