Finally saw my first monarch of the season....fluttering at my lilac bushes at 4 pm. The winds are 15-18 mph from the South/SE - temperature is 84 degrees, visibility 10 miles with clear skies and humidity at 36% ( dewpoint 51 ) First time the winds have been out of the south for many days....(and temps the last few days were only 50/60 degrees) The butterfly was a large one with bright color....couldn't get close enough to determine sex.
