We have been anxiously looking for our first sighting this year. I spotted the first mid-afternoon. It was quite faded. We have several milkweed plants around the yard, both wild and cultivated. Some of these plants are already pushing 18" high. I saw a second monarch (in much better condition) 3 days later (5/24/06). We enjoy your website!
