My study site near my house is flooded because of the recent rains. The common cattails are in standing water which measures 3 ft. above the usual 1 foot. The cattails heads are about one foot above the top level of the water. Instead of Monarchs,I was treated with about 20 Cedar Waxwings which I have not seen recently.
