Warm, humid winds were present all week. Although thunderstorms threatened a couple of the days this week, we never really got any rain until the night of 5/24/06 after 8 pm, when all egg laying for the day was done. 5/25/06 started a little cooler, but again warmed up to be hot and humid with very clear skies.
During the day of the 23rd I would say that a psuedo adult female Monarch was sighted. This was because that night a total of 36 Monarch eggs were found on nearby milkweeds. (See related report on first Monarch egg sighting). Finally on 5/25/06 someone was home to see a Monarch in action - laying eggs.
