Our son Michael called this morning to report he had seen at least six Monarch adults on the shore of Lake Huron while at the lakeshore site where he is helping with the construction of a summer home. Their property is just 12 miles from Cheboygan, Michigan. I will be checking the Prairie and the Wildlife Gardens here in Sylvania, Ohio for eggs before leaving the Lourdes College Campus today. The weather, timing and milkweed availability parallel conditions under which I found our first eggs the last three years. Thank you Journey North for keeping a history of the Field Notes we have filed from the Lourdes College Life Lab Program. JN continues to be our "technical teaching partner".
