Hummingbird, Ruby-throated (FIRST)

Date: 05/27/2006

Number: 1

hummingbird appeared around 6pm hovering around our monarda dydima plant, but when he saw there were no red flowers yet for him to take his nectar, he "buzzed" off to our neighbours' garden with a hummingbird feeder!
we had a male humingbird (or so we think) visit around the same time last year, same shrub and same pattern of going from there to neighbours' feeder. very exciting as he seems relatively comfortable and buzzes right over our heads as we sit outdoors.
