I'm still very curious as to why we, in this area, don't see large numbers of Monarchs on their return trip north. The last one I saw was yesterday (May 27th). It was tattered, torn, and looking tired. I estimate my total sightings this spring to be apx 30. Compared with the fall migration, that number is just a drop in the bucket to the fall sightings.
