We live in Thorold, ON, but have a recreational property ~ 4 hours drive north of Thorold, about 1/2 way between Burk's Falls and Magnetawan in Ontario.

Monarchs oobserved in several locations near the above co-ordinates on Sat.27.May and Sun.28.May. Didn't believe it at first but when we saw multiple sightings, especially feeding on Lilac shrubs in full flower next to our house, we made confirmation. Lots of other Lepidoptera species including Spring Azure, Mourning Cloak, and probably a Red Admiral. On Sunday we observed Monarchs coming and goind all afternoon to the Lilac flowers; minimum of two observed at any one time.
