This season looks promising. I saw my first monarch yesterday (May 29) too. It was a new female. Unfortunately, it was only interested in my lilac bush. I'm not even sure if it noticed all the budding swamp milkweed that was so very close by. I was trying to do some yard work, so hopefully there are eggs laid all over when I wasn't looking.
