All Other Signs of Spring

Date: 05/14/2006

Although it is a migratory bird, I have never seen a Magnolia Warbler here. However, on May 14, during a cold, windy and rainy day, we found a mature male walking around on the ground. When it didn't fly away, and acted stunned. we brought it inside. We put it in a bird cage, gave it some food and water, which it didn't want, and covered the cage with a towel for warmth. In the morning it apeared to have recovered, and when we released it outside, it zoomed up into some trees, and then flew away. Although I hadn't thought of it, I guess you might call this 'a sign of Spring'!
