I observed
a monarch butterfly adult for the first time this year
at Winnipeg on June 1.

I am an entomologist at the Cereal Research Centre in
Winnipeg. I keep a watchful eye for many insect
species throughout the year, and have published
papers on lady beetle species distribution.
