Monarch Larva (FIRST sighted)

Date: 06/26/2006

Number: 1

The children and I were launching a rocket in our hayfield. On our walk back, the girls discovered a large monarch larva feeding on a milkweed plant. After their ensuing excitement, they discovered that each of the next ten milkweed plants we inspected had at least one if not three monarch larvae feeding on the leaves! They are thrilled!
