sighted and obtained a beautiful female garter snake from the garden at home. Upon closer inspection i noted several lumps in the lower abdomen which I assume could mean eggs. (I wonder if that would not be unusually early) The speciman was about a foot in length, and very healthy looking. She trailed happily through my bare hands for five minutes before I released her in the tall grass.
