I had an very early female Monarch here in Eastern Passage on Monday, June 12/06. Unfortunately not tagged. (Eastern Passage is just outside of Halifax, Nova Scotia.)
Could this possibly be a early migrant from Mexico or somewhere up from the southern US or a stray from Upper Canada? A fact is this was seen 2-3 days before we got that NorEaster from the US which was the xxx(tail)-end of Tropical Storm Alberto? Any thoughts?
Forwarded by Don Davis of Toronto, Ontario who added: "Six Canadian provinces have now seen monarchs this year!"
