Yesterday I was fishing on Lake Winnebago and spotted a loon looking bird. I've been looking in all my bird books and not sure it was a loon. It was very close to my boat so I got a very good look at it. It looked as a common loon in the winter plumage. I'm very familiar with what a common loon looks like in the summer plumage. Could this have been a immature bird?
