I have seen 10-15 monarch butterflies at one time on butterfly bushes and lantana plants for the past 3 days. I also have 15 milkweed plants in my butterfly garden and have seen females laying eggs during the afternoons. I have counted 48 caterpillars over the summer months on these milkweed plants. There are many eggs and newly hatched caterpillars as of today.
