Monarch Fall Roost

Date: 08/28/2006

Number: 1

I live in a small village called Port Dalhousie which is part of St. Catharines, Ontario Canada.

I spotted a couple of monarchs yesterday in my back yard and said to my husband I hope they land in our yard by the hundreds as they did a few years back. Well, this time,( today....4:31PM, August 28th, 2006) they picked the neighbour's back yard and they are there now by the hundreds. Why Port Dalhousie? We assume because it is the first land they can light at after flying across Lake Ontario!? It's too bad that Monarch watch doesn't have a site that someone can access without being a MEMBER! OR I COULD HAVE ADVISED THEM HOURS AGO and sent them photos.
