Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 08/27/2006

Number: 1

I was out walking my dog and noticed more than a few Monarch fluttering about, and wondered if I might see more. As we made our way through an area very near to Pearson Park I began to see more and more Monarchs until we got to an area where hundreds and hundreds of them were flying about and beginning to settle, individually and in clusters, in the many trees there. This was at about 5:00pm, Sunday, August 27th 2006. I will make a point of going back on Monday to see if they are still there.
