Monarch PEAK Migration

Date: 08/31/2006

Number: 1

Large numbers of monarch butterflies are everywhere throughout Sarnia-Lambton Area. They are flying into the area from Southern Lake Huron. Each day since August 24th more appear. Throughout the day, dozens of monarchs are in my yard feeding on every flowering plant they can find, especially butterfly bushes. This year has been the best showing of monarchs for many years.
