We saw another young bald eagle at about 1pm today. It was sitting in the sun in a large wild cherry tree by our wetland pond . It seemed just as interested in us as we were in it or maybe it was trying to figure out what the goat kid was[our walking compainion for the day] and if it was small enough to eat.The eagle is young just getting the white feathers on the head. It decided to take off after watching us for a few minutes. It is quite a sight to watch them take off and soar when you are up close. It spent about five minutes circling as we walked farther away and came back to land in the same tree when it thought we were far enough away.
