The monarchs are still coming through Central IL in droves. I am so glad I planted a large bed of tropical milkweed because they absolutely love this plant. Starting at 8:00 am and continuing until about 4:00 pm, there is an average of 30 monarchs at this flower bed at a time. After I tag one, he/she moves on, but there is soon another one coming from the north to take its place.
