My last Monarch emerged today. A beautiful female. I have had 30 or so in the last month. I gave most away to teachers and friends. I had a caterpillar that formed a "J" on Sunday (9/10) evening and today it was 1/2 caterpillar and 1/2 chrysalis. What causes this to happen? Is the milkweed to dry? This was a great season in my butterfly garden as I had my first butterfly emerge June 23rd and my last today. Can't wait for next year!
