We hesitate to make a report here! The hummingbirds have been "tricking" us into thinking that they've left... cold nights, cool days, no sightings for 24-36 hours... but then all of a sudden at the feeder we will see a juvenile (or female) and then a male feeding. This has been happening for the past nine days...and today is an example... high 30's last night.. 52 degrees right now and both a male and a juvenile (or female) have visited our feeders this morning. These birds might be migrating through... or not, we don't know... the juvenile/female has appeared to be confused by how the feeder works and has hovered by the house windows appearing to try and catch a view inside the house! We will report again when there are no more sightings for 48 hours or more!
