I'm still seeing several large Monarchs today that just seem to be sailing around alone- not seeming to be in a southern direction. Did count 8 in 15 min. during my lunch break- 9/13, they seemed to be headed south- but as loners. Went to the woods this evening & found caterpillars on milkweed still. Will they make it in time? I keep reading that others are still finding them. Could it be a sign of late frost? I sure hope so!
