after many days of NE, E and SE winds a sunny calm warm day = thermals used by raptors and Monarchs - slight NW and N breezes - observed up to 8 Monarchs feeding on flowers in my one acre yard most times of the day - most 10 minutes sky watching times resulted in 3 4 and 5 Monarch sightings - easily saw 50 Monarchs migrating today 9/17/06 - (southside of the Blueridge mountains)
