Two students in my classroom brought in monarch caterpillars. They changed into chrysalsis. It took approximately 14 days for them to hatch. One of the caterpillars made its chrysalsis at the bottom of its cage and still hatched beautifully. They hatched over the weekend into beautiful monarchs. We are releasing them at 9:15 a.m. so they may make their way to Mexico.
