Crowds of Monarch Butterflies (at least 386) headed southwest. The
butterflies were dense enough at times to be a real distraction to
finding and counting hawks!



Mahogany Rock is near milepost 239 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, roughly 25 miles south of the VA/NC line.
