I would like to hear from other monarch watchers and taggers in
tri-state area (Ohio, NY, and Pa) near latitude 42 as to how migration
ihas been going.
Other years that I have tagged, I did the majority of my tagging from mid to late August. That has come and gone and I have not seen any significant migration movement even though we had higher than usual amounts of breeding activity and sightings this summer.
My question is whether migration is later this year because of weather conditions in our area, rainy and cool temperatures.
The monarch watch peak for this area has come and gone, and I just wondered if I somehow missed them this year. I still have 225 tags that are burning a hole in my pocket! :(
