On Tuesday, September 19 we had 2 hummingbirds on the feeder in our backyard about mid-day. It got down to 34 that evening and I assumed, wrongly, that would be our last hummingbird, but today (Friday, September 22) we have 2 more! It seems we see a couple in the morning hanging out at our feeder. Yesterday (Thursday, 9/21) late afternoon, I saw one. None have the ruby throat.
The ones we have seen are feisty and chase each other off the feeders, which I thought was a male thing. Because they all look alike, I can't tell if they are migrating through or are the same ones.
