We took a walk around our nature center today, and we counted 30 monarchs. That was in our little area by the pond, as we walked around the pond to the "preserved prairie", we couldn't keep up with the count. There must have been hundreds today. It was such a warm, sunny and breezy day. We found flowers (black eyed susans & milkweed) on the ground and raised them high abover our heads and the butterflies were coming to us. It was an amazing sight. Good day for monarch sightings!
