The weekends of 9/2 and 9/10 Monarchs laid eggs on my Butterfly Weed. The week of 9/18 I collected 17 caterpillars and transferred them to a netted cage in my house. 6 have pupated, 4 still have 1-2 more instars to go through. I will release them as they emerge to continue their journey South. 2 weeks ago noticed large amounts of Monarchs at the Huntsville Botanical Garden, none for about a week, and just now starting to appear again.
