Hummingbird Sighting

WE WE'RE VISITED BY A RUST AND BLACK THROATED HUMMER. WE NAMED HIM FLASH BECAUSE HE WOULD FLASH THIS BEAUTIFUL RED GORGET AT US. IN THE BOOK THAT WE HAVE IT ONLY TALKED ABOUT MALE BROADTAILS HAVING A TRILL EVERYTIME THAT THEY FLEW. SO WE WE'RE CONFUSED WITH THIS BEAUTIFUL BIRD THAT HE ACTUALLY WAS A RUFOUS. WE HAVE JUST JOINED THE 21ST CENTURY (TODAY) WITH THE INTERNET AND IT WAS GREAT TO HAVE THIS CONFIRMED. I AM NOT SURE IF THIS INFORMATION WILL BE HELPFUL BEING SO LATE. I DO HAVE TONS OF PHOTOS (INCLUDING A BATH ON MISTER TUBING) OF FLASH AND WE BELIEVE BROADTAILS AND DEFINATELY CALLIOPES. WE HAVE TURNED OUR YARD INTO A HUMMINGBIRD HAVEN IN HOPES TO GET MORE AND MORE OF THE LITTLE GUYS. THIS YEAR WE HAD AT LEAST 50 WITH THE MIGRATION AND SEVERAL STAYED FOR WEEKS AT A TIME, THAT WE COULD ACTUALLY IDENTIFY THEM QUITE EASILY. THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME AND FOR THIS AWESOME WEBSITE, SO MY HUSBAND AND I CAN CONTRIBUTE TO THIS LITTLE BIRD THAT HAS BLESSED US SO MUCH.
