Last week, we took our entire sixth grade to camp in Southern New Hampshire. Monarchs were everywhere! One spent about a minute resting on my shoe, opening and closing its wings.
From there, we went north to spend the weekend in our cabin in East Corinth, Vermont. Our land has loads of milkweed, and we were not surprised to see many monarchs. On Sunday, we watched in awe as hundreds of monarchs flew together down the valley, southward, on the wings of a fresh wind. It was like watching a parade!
