I have never seen so many monarchs in Manhattan (NY). I stood at one row of buddleia bushes and about 50 m. from the Hudson River & tagged 33 butterflies from about 12:15 to 13:40 h today. The wind picked up about then and the number of butterflies dropped off, so I called it a day.
