At Northfield Middle School we have been working on creating
a student garden. We planted the Red Emperor tulips on both ends of our student designed garden. Students began designing the garden last
spring and we planted perennials and bulbs this fall. During our ecology unit, we began a longitudinal diveristy study in our
new garden and in a prairie restoration area next to our school. We will participate in emerging dates and plant height during our spring
nature journals.
