I have many hummingbirds at my feeders. I am seeing females, males, and juvenile hummingbirds.
I have 10 feeders and only one hummingbird per feeder. There are many more hummingbirds in my yard than the 10 birds that have claimed each feeder. As new hummingbirds are entering my yard, they are being chased off by the ones who have taken over the feeders. These hummingbirds, I feel are migrating as this activity happens yearly. I will see some around March and then throughout most of the summer there will not be any hummingbirds. Then in September, they will start returning. They will all probably be gone by November.
