Monarchs every sunny day now at a rate of only 1-5 butterflies per day between 0930-1600 hrs. We had a very dark colored larvae hang in J form 27 SEP 2006 and transform to pupa overnight 27-28 SEP 2006. We predict this individual will emerge as an adult only on 16 OCT and truly test late season migration capacity.
