traveling from SW MO, (Walnut Grove) along Hwy's 123, 13, 7, & 71, we counted over 500 Monarchs drifting from right (north) to left (south) in front of our van. Unfortunately we hit 8 or 10. Time was 10:00 am - 1:00 and distance was about 150 miles. It was sunny, about 85 degrees and there were NE breezes.
