We had our Monarch release today at Ironia School in Randolph, NJ. We've been raising Monarchs since the first day of school, and today we tagged and released 40 Monarchs in the Schoolyard Habitat. Hundreds of 3rd, 4th and 5th graders were present to bid our winged friends a fond farewell and a safe journey to Mexico. Up to 3 days later school children were reporting that they had seen tagged Monarchs in their backyards in various sections of town.
