On the road to our fishing hole, we spotted literally hundreds of Pelicans flying around and landing on the Arkansas River by a bridge that's located 7 miles east of Newkirk, OK. Prior to seeing these "pouch birds", we had been seeing hundreds of Great Egrets in that same location. However, when the Pelicans showed up, we didn't spot even on Egret. We used to never see this many big birds around here for almost the entire year. Amazing sights to witness!
