At the Fort Worth Botanic Gardens, I've seen 3 to 8 monarchs nectaring (lantana, butterfly bush, Gregg's mistflower, Mexican sage) in each of several gardens separated on our 109 acres over the past week. I have see single butterflies soar overhead. No directional flight noted.
