Whooping Crane spotted by myself and two (2) witnesses with group of about seven (7) sandhill cranes in a farm field on the southwest corner of M-43 and Osborne Road. Weather: Rain, temperature around 60 degrees Time: 11:00-11:30 A.M.

I called the Michigan DNR office in Middleville, MI via cell phone and received information that Whooping Cranes had been sighted in Otis Lake area since July.

I am an experienced birder with over 30 years birding and this was my most exciting lifer!!! Awesome!!! Couldn't believe it!!!!

I did some internet reasearch...could this be bird #522????
