Approximate 1,000 monarch butterflies where clinging to the stalks of the Wild Golden Rod behind the dunes at the sound end of the Stone Harbor beach. Not fearful to up close observations. At approximately 11:00 AM. Mild breeze and sunny, great for photo's.
