Well...MY "unpave the way" project is not yet complete...and probably never will be! But...I have removed 3/4 acre of lawn from our yard. It has been replaced with over 150 species of wildflowers and bushes that look much like the original tallgrass prairie and Oak woodland formerly common in east-central Illinois. The yard starts blooming in March with Bloodroot and Toothwort, and ends in October with the Yellows, Whites, Purples and Blues of Asters and Goldenrods.
