Hummingbird Sighting

Date: 09/28/2006

Number: 1

We had many hummers at our flowers and feeder in the back yard all summer. I thought they'd all left, but on Sept. 28th I saw what I THINK was the last one. This one was a female ruby throated hummingbird and it flew from the salvia blooms to newly planted pansies in the garden at the back of my house. It was around noon, and it stayed until it fed from the flowers, then it flew away. I haven't seen any hummers since.
