Our garden is in two spots so we could compare the growth of those two areas. Half of the tulips are in a grassy area that gets shade in the
afternoon. The dirt here was soft and easy to plant in. The other area is along a fence with some bushes. The ground was very difficult to dig in so consequently we added some potting soil to the top in hopes of growth.
We live in a very dry area, as Utah is a desert. West Valley City is
located in a valley between mountain ranges.
